MARINOS, Panagiotis "Peter" V. Of Boston, January 26. Beloved husband of Stella (Saih) Marinos. Devoted father of Vasilios Marinos. Cherished son of the late Vasilios and Triantafylia (Frosinou) Marinos. Loving brother of Nikolaos Marinos and his wife Sofia, Ioannis Marinos, Eleni Marinos-Makri and her husband Athanasios, all of Greece and Sevasti Marinos-Mourikis of Ipswich. Also survived by Aunts, Uncles, many Nieces, Nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends. Peter immigrated to America in the late 60’s. He didn’t speak a word of English, but he very quickly learned the language and acclimated himself in this country. His first job was at Boston’s famous “Paul’s Mall” Club as a bartender on Boylston street. There he met and interacted with many Hollywood celebrities who performed at the club. In fact, when the club closed, Peter was interviewed by the press. Shortly thereafter, he opened up his own establishment “Peter’s Place” Bar & Grill in the heart of Boston’s Financial District, which became very popular and a landmark for many in the city and the surroundings. In 1998, he embarked in a new venture by opening “Trader’s Restaurant & Lounge” in the same area, which eventually was turned into an upscale Sports Lounge & Night Club, “The Place”. In addition to being a successful restaurateur, he had a great passion for the stock market. He was a self-educated stock investor with a keen sense of vision and the ability to analyze the market and make successful investing decisions. Not only this benefited him but, also, he used this skill to help others invest wisely without to be compensated in return. His success was complete after the birth of his son, Vasilios. Since then, he dedicated his time and energy in the upbringing of his son. Visiting hours at the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge St., CAMBRIDGE on Friday from 4-8 pm.
