Denise Hodge, born November 3, 1960, in Boston, Massachusetts, peacefully departed this life on August 18, 2026.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and mentor, Denise lived a beautiful life centered around family, love, laughter, and togetherness. She shared an enduring love with her husband, Norman, and together they raised six children, building a family rooted in love, loyalty, and respect.
Denise will be remembered for her generous heart, bold personality, delicious cooking, love of gospel music and plants, and her ability to bring joy wherever she went. She dedicated more than 25 years to Joslin, where her coworkers and patients became a second family.
Denise leaves behind her children, 18 grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends who will continue to carry her love and legacy forward.
Denise was deeply loved, will be profoundly missed.
A visitation will take place at the Greater Love Tabernacle Church, 101 Nightingale Street in Boston on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
Funeral service to follow in the church at 11:00 am.
Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Boston.
