You gave me and my band a shot at working our way towards the coveted weekend slot. By 1978 we became regulars at The RAT. Truth is, we all loved the Rat. We ended up being headliners on the weekend, and you gave us the first night of the Police show. October 26th, 1978. You and I used to crack up by how many people claimed they were there that night. When Mitch passed, you put together that wonderful memorial show. You had a big heart brother. One of the last times I saw you. I told you “I loved you.” And you turned around without any hesitation and said, “I love you too Ralph.”
You were the best Jim Harold.
Give Mitch a hug from me.
I won’t forget you, and what you did for not only my band, but all the local bands.
It was an honor and a privilege to play the RAT.
My most sincere condolences to your family.
With love and respect.

He was adored by his friends, family, and cohorts. After 42 years of friendship, I wonder where did the time go? Jimmy leaves a legacy of a life uncompromised and well-lived. It is an inspiration for us all to follow our instincts, hold our friends close, and keep our dreams alive.
Well played, sir.
You are greatly missed.
