Tavares, Jose R., of Somerville, March 10^th, 2016 at age 71. Devoted husband of Maria Fatima (De Melo) Tavares. Cherished father of Nelia Sales and her husband Ricardo. Loving grandfather of Emily Sales. Beloved brother of Mariano Tavares, Carlos, Dionisio and Antonio Rebelo, and the late Joao Rebelo, Manuel and Hermano Tavares. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. Funeral from the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge St., Cambridge Saturday at 8 am. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s Church in Cambridge at 9:00 am. Visiting hours Friday 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
