Cherished aunt of Roger Peixinho and his wife Rita, Robert Peixinho and his wife Doreen, Edward DaSilva and his wife Sue. Adored great-aunt of Nicholle and Alexander Peixinho. Beloved sister in law of Maria Angela DaSilva. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends. Funeral from the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge St., Cambridge on Thursday, October 29th, 2015 at 8:00 am. Funeral mass at St. Anthony’s Church in Cambridge at 9:00 am. Visiting hours Wednesday, October 28th, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Born on September 9, 1929 in Pico, Acores, she moved to Faial, Acores where she obtained a teaching degree from Colegio de Santo Antonio. She taught school in Sao Miguel, Acores. Ms. DaSilva immigrated to the United States in 1959 with her parents, sister, brother- in-law and nephew where they lived together. She worked for the Archdiocese of Boston where she retired after 25 years of service at the Youville Hospital. She enjoyed cooking and gatherings with family and friends.
