Mrs. Maria T. Gaspar

Gaspar Maria T. (Amorim) of Peabody, Sept. 9^th. at age 88, formerly of Somerville. Devoted wife of the late Francisco P. Gaspar. Loving mother of Adrian Gaspar and his wife Connie, Cidalia “Sandy” Shute and her husband Francis, Martin Gaspar and his wife Maria, Amy Kopchell and her husband Mark, Camille Ernest and her husband Paul, Gloria Gaspar and her partner Nikolaj Wendt and the late Laudalina and Lucia “Lucy” Gaspar. Beloved sister of Virginia Simas and the late Leonilde Sousa and Joao Amorim. Grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, also survived by  many nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. Funeral from the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge St., Cambridge, Saturday at 9 am. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s Church in Cambridge at 10 am. Visiting Hours Friday 4 to 8 pm. Maria was a member of Our Lady of Fatima, Holy Ghost Society and the Senior Center, all in Peabody. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Walsh St., Peabody, MA 01960.
