Mrs. Harriett M. DiMatteo

DiMatteo, Harriett M (Drury) 91, of Cambridge, died Tuesday evening, May 6th, 2014. Wife of the late Robert Victor DiMatteo., MA. Harriett was the mother of seven children, five of which survive her: Diane and her late husband, John Howard, Kenneth and wife Carol DiMatteo, Janet and husband Richard Belmont, Elaine and husband Steven Tryder, and Robert DiMatteo and wife Denise King.  Grandmother of nine grandchildren: Ken Howard, John Howard, Mathew Howard, Suzanne Herzner, Richelle Belmont, Phillip Belmont, Austin Tryder, Oona DiMatteo and Simone DiMatteo. She is also survived by five great grandchildren. Services will be held Sunday, May 18, at Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge St, Cambridge, MA. Visitation 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm, and celebration of life service to follow at 4:30 pm. Harriet was born and raised in Somerville, MA and then lived most of her married life in Billerica. Harriett worked until the age of 80 as a salesperson in the fine jewelry department at Macy’s
