Mrs. Dorothea Rose Clinton

Clinton, Dorothea Rose (abreu) of Cambridge, June 4th, 2011 at age 70.  Cherished mother of Jo-Ann and Thayer Plante.  Beloved step mother of Kevin, Karen and Catherine Clinton.  Mothe in law of Walter Garland.  Sister of Charlie Villa.  Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.  Funeral from the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge St., Cambridge, Wednesday at 8 am.  Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 46 Sixth St., Cambridge at 9 am.  Visiting hours Tuesday June 7th, from 4 to 8 pm.  Dorothea was a longtime liaison between the Cambridge School Dept. and the Portuguese speaking community.  She later went to work as a scheduler for Congressman Joseph P. Kennedy as well as Lt. Governor Jane Swift.  She recently retired from MGH where she worked many years.  Dorothea was the former President of C.O.P.A and was the recent recipient of the MAPS Lifetime Community Service Achievement Award.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to MAPS, 1046 Cambridge St., Cambridge, MA 02139
