Luis A. Arruda, passed away on September 17, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at age 89. Born in Maia, Sao Miguel, Acores he later moved to Somerville, Massachusetts.
Son of the late Virginia (de Araujo) and Jose de Arruda.
Devoted husband of the late Alda Maria Arruda, (Medeiros).
Loving father of Luisa Goncalves and her husband Joao, Louie Arruda and his wife Maria, Anna Labeta and her husband Ricardo.
Cherished grandfather of Stephanie Goncalves and her husband David Kanode, John Goncalves and his wife Marina, Sarah Arruda and TJ Labeta.
Adored great-grandfather of Olivia and Benjamin Kanode.
Beloved brother of Conceicao, and the late Teresa and Jose.
Also survived by nieces, nephews, and many other loving relatives and friends.
