Suzanne M. “Suzie” (Ryan) Marks, age 79, a lifelong resident of Somerville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late John and Sue (Page) Ryan.
Prior to retiring, she worked for Harvard University as a Lab Assistant for over 20 years.
Dedicated mother of Christopher Marks and his wife Kathleen, and Jennifer Duckett and her husband Joel. Devoted Grammy to Shannon, Brendan, Justin and Jason.
Beloved sister of Linda Taylor and her late husband Gary, Richard Ryan and his late wife Maria, Sharon Ryan and her longtime partner Stephen Bunker, Patricia Jacome and her husband Michael, and the late John “Skippy” Ryan who is survived by his wife Cheryl and the late Angel Ryan.
Also survived by nieces, nephews, and many loving relatives and friends.
Visitation at the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge Street in Cambridge, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 262 Washington Street, (Union Square) In Somerville on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 11:00am.
All other services will be private.
Those wishing to travel in procession to the church are asked to please meet at the funeral home in Cambridge on Thursday morning between 9:00 and 9:30 am.
