Flaherty, Nancy (Gill) of Lynn, May 27, 2023, at age 74, formerly of

Somerville.

Devoted wife of the late David Flaherty.

Beloved daughter of the late James and Irene Gill.

Loving mother of Brianna Arevalo and her husband Jonathan of

Wakefield, Jacob Flaherty and his wife Vansinat of Dracut.

Cherished grandmother of five grandchildren, Kaiza Nouv, Olivia

Coleman, Jameson Flaherty, Madison Arevalo, Emelia Flaherty and the

late Amaya Irene Arevalo

Beloved Sister of James Gill and his wife Phyllis.

Also survived by nieces, nephews, and many other loving relatives and

friends.

Nancy was happiest spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren. She also took pride in a 35+ year career as a devoted healthcare worker at Tufts and Mount Auburn Hospital. Many would

also agree that she would have made it as a chef as well! Her

adventurous spirit led her from Canada, to Europe, and the Caribbean,

but New England was always home. Her most fond memories were of

family vacations in Maine and down the Cape. Nancy would always put

the needs of others first. Her humor, kindness, and compassion will

forever be missed.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge Street in Cambridge on Friday, June 2, 2023, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Catherine’s Church 179 Summer Street in Somerville on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 10:00 am.

My beloved Sister In Law, such a close friend, she is so very missed. She gave us all her undying love, concern, encouragement and so many happy times together. She made us all drool with her Portuguese sausages and the best meatballs we’ve all totally enjoyed all summer and especially Christmas Eve. Love you forever, Sue & Billy

We had so many great memories of holidays, cookouts and of going to the beach. My cousin Nancy was often very serious but when she laughed it was the best, and we always made her laugh! I will always remember her in many ways but the laughter sticks with me! ❤️
