Frederica Wilhemina Ward
September 17, 1948 - June 5, 2026
Frederica, affectionately known as Chubby, was the daughter of the late Rev. Clayton Ward, Sr., and the late Phebe Ward. She was the second of five children. Chubby attended Morse Grammar School and later graduated from Cambridge High and Latin School, both located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. During her teenage years, she dedicated her life to Christ and actively participated in worship at the Christian Mission Holiness Church. After her graduation, she worked as a Lab Technician at the Harvard Dental School in Boston until she unfortunately fell ill.
Chubby passed away on June 5, 2026. She leaves behind cherished memories and is survived by her three brothers and their spouses: Rev. Clayton Ward, Jr. and Angela, Richard and Linda, and John and Janice. She is also survived by her godson, nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives.
A visitation will be held at Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge Street in Cambridge on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, with a prayer service to follow in the funeral home.
Her interment will take place at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
