Kim Ronald Ellcock was born om January 1,1960 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to his late parents Aletha G. Ellcock and Ronald Miller.
Kim was educated in the Cambridge Public School system. He attended Webster Elementary School, where he established many of his lifelong friendships. Kim graduated from Cambridge High and Latin in 1977. He was a member of the High School Baseball Team, captain of the Basketball team and a member of the National Honor Society. Kim’s academic excellence earned him the prestigious Bausch+ Lomb Honorary Science Award.
Kim briefly attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute before earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Framingham State College. He began his career in international investment banking, retiring from State Street Bank Corporation Financial Services after 25 years of dedicated service.
Kim and Kim Girl’s love story began 46 years ago as teenage sweethearts. In 1986 Kim married the love of his life Kim Woodson-Ellcock (affectionally known as “Kim Girl”). God nurtured and strengthened their relationship allowing it to blossom into a lifelong friendship and bond resilient enough to withstand the trials and triumphs of nearly forty-year marriage. His love and unwavering commitment made him a loving father to Kimberly (Ellcock) Figueroa and Anthony Ellcock- his pride and joy.
Kim affectionately called “GRAND” was also a devoted and loving grandfather to Kimora, Kimron, Kimai, and Kimia. His grandchildren brought immense joy and meaning to his life. He treasured every moment spent with them and created memories they will carry with them forever.
Kim embraced the special role of God father with love and dedication. He was a proud Godfather to Drew Thorne-Stewart, Jazmine Ellcock, Eric Dias and honorary Godfather to Jarron Ellcock and Erik Muschette. He offered guidance, support, encouragement and love throughout their lives.
Kim was known for his warm heart, generous spirit, sense of humor and unwavering loyalty. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, cherished godfather, trusted friend and a man whose love for family knew no bounds. Though he is no longer with us, the love he shared and memories he created will live in all the hearts who knew him.
On May 28th, 2026, Kim departed this life peacefully. He was predeceased by his parents: Aletha Ellcock and Ronald Miller; his brothers: Leroy Ellcock, Tyrone Bridgeman; sisters: Lynne (Ellcock) Collins), Barbara Ellcock; sister in laws: Lorraine Ellcock, Dawna Ramsure-Carter; father-in-law: Richard Woodson. He is survived by his siblings Warren Ellcock, Dana Ellcock (Justine Dias) and his Hailey bonus siblings.
Kim leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife Kim, his two children Kimberly (Ellcock) Figueroa, (Eric) , Anthony Ellcock, his siblings: Warren Ellcock, Dana Ellcock (Justine Dias), his sister in laws: Tina Woodson, Lisa Dias; his bonus Hailey siblings; his Grandchildren, his mother-in-law – Andrea Hester, Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and a host of cousins and friends.
Visitation on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Pentecostal Tabernacle South Church, 56 Magazine Street, in Cambridge from 9:00 to 11:00 am.
A funeral service will follow in the church beginning at 11:00 am.
Internment will be at the Cambridge Cemetery.
