Fernando M. Mendonca of East Cambridge passed away unexpectedly on May 7, 2026, at the age of 58.
Devoted father of Anthony Mendonca, Nicholas Mendonca, and Lauryn Mendonca.
Cherished grandfather of Nicholas Manuel Mendonca Jr., and Aria Grace Mendonca.
Loving brother of Maria de Fatima Pereira and her husband Antonio.
Dear uncle to Michael Pereira, David Pereira, and Susie Resendes.
Adored son of the late Ondina and Manuel Mendonca.
Beloved friend of Steve Mendonca and Tommy Walsh.
Also survived by other relatives and friends, both here and in Graciosa, Acores, Portugal.
Fernando was a longtime member of the Portuguese American Civic League.
Visitation at the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge Street in Cambridge on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:30 am.
Funeral mass to follow at St. Anthony’s Church. 400 Cardinal Medeiros Avenue in Cambridge at 11:00 am.
Interment will be at the Cambridge Cemetery.
