Mafalda Gargano (De Meo) "Muffie" of Cambridge passed away peacfully in her sleep on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the age of 108.
Beloved daughter of the late Angelina (Sico) and Pasquale De Meo.
Loving mother of the late Janet Sawtell (Gargano).
Cherished grandmother of Barbara Sawtell and her companion Katherine Hurst, Donald Sawtell Jr., and the late Francis Sawtell.
Adored great-grandmother of Michelle Sawtell, Christine DaSilva, Anthony Jones, Francis, Jones and the late Joseph Sawtell.
Caring great-great grandmother of Malakai and Joseph.
Dear sister of Viola Baxter, Angelina Daveta, and Francis De Meo.
Also survived by her former grandson in law Stephen Taylor, nieces, nephews, and many other loving relatives and friends.
There will be a visitation at Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge Street in Cambridge, on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 8:30 to 10:30 am.
A funeral mass will follow at St. Francis Church, 325 Cambridge Street in Cambridge at 11:00 am.
Internment will be at St. Michaels Cemetery in Boston.
