John D. “Jack” Sousa of Arlington, formerly of Cambridge passed away Christmas morning December 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 91.
Loving father of Tyler Sousa and his wife Kristina Sousa, Richard Curtis Sousa and his wife Becca Sousa, Molly Elizabeth Sousa-Kilmartin and her husband Derek Kilmartin.
Cherished grandfather of Maelyn Sousa.
Beloved brother of Daniel Viera and the late Joseph Sousa, and Matilda Sousa Irwin.
John was the uncle to many and is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral from the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge Street in Cambridge on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 8:00 am.
Funeral mass to follow at St. Anthony’s Church, 400 Cardinal Medeiros Avenue in Cambridge at 9:00 am.
Visitation at the funeral home in Cambridge on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
Interment will be at the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery, Connery Ave, Buzzards Bay (Cape Cod) at 12:30 pm.
Those wishing to attend are asked to meet just inside the Main gate of the cemetery by 12:15 pm.
John was a proud U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran and a retired City of Cambridge Firefighter.
