Anna Adelaide Guida (nee Santos) passed away at the age of 99 on November 6,2025 at the Care One Facility in Wilmington, MA after a brief illness. She was born on February 7, 1926, in Boston, MA to the late John and Annie (Silva) Santos.
Anna and her family moved to Cambridge from Somerville in 1930 and she resided in Cambridge for most of her life. She attended Cambridge Schools up until the tenth grade when she had to leave high school to help support her family while her two older brothers were away fighting in WWII. A few months after WWII ended, she met the love of her life Jerome Guida (Jerry). They were married on September 14,1947 at St. Anthony’s Church. Anna and Jerry had two children, Jo-Anne and Leonard. She was awarded her high school diploma from Cambridge High and Latin School in 2016.
Anna was predeceased by her husband of almost 74 years Jerome Guida in 2021, her parents John and Annie (Silva) Santos, brothers Joseph, John, and Louis Santos, and sister Beatrice Porier. She is also predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law Louis and Rose Guida.
She is survived by her daughter Jo-Anne Rogers and her husband Dennis of Lynnfield, MA, her granddaughter Elizabeth Rogers of Cambridge, MA, her son Leonard Guida and his wife Miwa Watkins of Brookline and their son William Clouse of Portland, OR. Anna is also survived by her sister Elaine Santos of Cambridge and her brother Robert Santos and his wife Elaine of Mendham, NJ as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Saturday, November 8, at the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge St, Cambridge, MA from 8:30-10:00 A.M followed by her Funeral Mass which will be celebrated on Saturday, November 8 at 10:30 AM, at St. Anthony Church 400 Cardinal Medeiros Way, Cambridge, MA. Interment will follow at Cambridge Cemetery Cambridge, MA
