Joseph Hercule, a beloved brother, loving Dad, loving Grandpa, uncle and life-long resident of Cambridge, Massachusetts passed away on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024, at the age of 83. Joseph was surrounded by his loving family.
Joseph, known to us as Papi Jo was an affectionate, dedicated, and hardworking man who always put the needs of others ahead of his own. A man of deep faith, quiet nature, giving spirit, with a witty sense of humor. His faithful devotion will continue throughout the next generation. Papi Jo’s personality brought warmth and joy to everyone he encountered. His passing will be mourned deeply to everyone who knew and loved him. But His Legacy will leave on for generations to come, inspiring those around him with his kindhearted, generosity, and unforgettable spirit.
Joseph, known as Papi Jo, will be remembered as a loving husband to his late wife, Ruby Smith Hercule. A loving father to his children, James Hercule and spouse Lorna, Edwidge Hercule, Nerlande Hercule-Joseph and spouse Evens and Mitchell Hercule and spouse Mary Jane. A loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Thelora Marseille, Roselore Marseille, Nathan Wyche, Kaitlynne Hercule, Lorra Marseille, Adrianne Hercule, Evenlye Joseph, Ruby Hercule and Mitchell Hercule. First child of the late Leonie Pierre. A beloved brother to Gerard Pierre and spouse Hancy, Jean Robert Pierre and spouse Mireille, Elvire Hercule, the late Emile Hercule, his surviving spouse Marie Jose Hercule, Jacques Pierre and Marie Stephanie Edna, her surviving spouse Jean-Felix Surpris, Sr. A beloved uncle to his numerous nieces and nephews. A friend, a mentor and a protector to all.
Joseph, Known as Papi Jo celebration of life and legacy will be at St. John the Evangelist Church, at 2254 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge.
Visitation - Friday November 15, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Funeral Mass - Saturday November 16, 2024, at 9:00 am
