Alice B. BrancoBranco, Alice E. (Valentine), of Somerville, passed away on September 20, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 80.

Devoted wife of Joseph B. Branco for over 62 years.

Loving mother of Steven Branco and Rosemarie Branco.

Beloved sister of the late Anthony P. Valentine who is survived by his wife Laudalina (Ramos) Valentine.

Dear aunt of Derek Valentine and Victor Valentine.

Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

Alice was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Maria Rosa (Piques) and Laurenio Valentine who immigrated from Sao Miguel Acores to the United States to make a better life for their family.

She loved cooking, spending time in Bristol, NH at their summer home on Newfound Lake, but most importantly she cherished the time she got to spend with her family and friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful Nursing Staff, PCA’s and everyone at Mt. Auburn Hospital who not only worked tirelessly caring for Alice, but for the support, generosity and caring they provided to her family as they went through this difficult transition.

Visitation at the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge Street in Cambridge on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:30 am.

Funeral Mass to follow at St. Jospeh’s Church, 262 Washington Street in Somerville (Union Square) at 12:00 pm (noon).

All other services will be private.
