Maria Margarida Carreiro Luis “Maggie” passed away on August 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 69.
She was the loving mother of Lawrence (Larry) Carreiro and his wife Karen of Woburn. Devoted wife of Mario Luis. Daughter of the late Teofilo Correia and Luisa M. Correia (Tome). Beloved sister of Joao Manuel Correia, Jose Luis Correia and the late Edmund Correia. Dear cousin of Victor M. Vasconcelos, Joseph J. Vasconcelos, Robert Tome, Lisa Cormier, Mary T. Carvalho and many more cousins. Cherished aunt of Julie Correia. Beloved niece of the late Armando Tome and his wife Maria.

Funeral mass to follow at St. Anthony’s Church, 400 Cardinal Medeiros Avenue in Cambridge at 10:00 am.
Visiting hours at the funeral home in Cambridge on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Winchester.
Late Officer of the Somerville Sports Club and member the Portuguese-American Civic League. She was also an avid Benefica fan.
Maria (Maggie) was known for her style from her clothing, jewelry and hair. She was loving, caring, compassionate, and full of life. She was always there for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
