Gisela Margotta, 61, of Boston, Massachusetts passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023.
Gisela "Gila" graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1987 before moving to Boston to be with the love of her life, Donald Margotta. She married Donald in 1998 and the two of them enjoyed 21 years of marriage before Donald passed away in 2019. Together, they enjoyed travelling, international foods, and Boston sports.
Gila spent the majority of her professional life at East Cambridge Savings Bank, where she worked for over 30 years. She was devoted to the bank making it a priority in her life and worked selflessly towards its continued success in the community.
Selfless describes Gisela best – her ‘love language’ was, like her father, service to others and she lived this daily in her daily interactions with family, friends and colleagues.
Gisela is survived by her mother, Margit C. Raynor; her brother, Michael L. Raynor; her sister in-law, Diane; and her nephews Grayson and David.
Gisela was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Margotta and her father, William L. Raynor and it is our joy to know that she is reunited with these gentle and loving men that meant everything to her.
