Adrian Deniz Olenchek, of Cambridge, MA, passed away suddenly and without explanation on June 18, 2023 while on a family trip to New York City.
He was the cherished only son of Ipek and Noah Olenchek, and the beloved first grandchild of Betul and Semih Emekli and Nancy and Peter Olenchek. He is further survived by his aunts Sofia Olenchek and Sedef Emekli, and his uncles Elliot and Jack Olenchek. Adrian was 18 months old.
The Olencheks will be holding a private memorial service at Rogers Funeral Home in Cambridge. There is limited space at the service, but the family welcomes any stories you can share about how Adrian affected your life.
Adrian was a beautiful, smiling, happy boy who left us far too soon. He loved many things about life - books, Hot Wheels, fire trucks, playing basketball, animals, stickers, toy airplanes, broccoli, cheese, bulgur, and tickle fights. He loved flowers, especially tulips, and always stopped to smell them on his way to and back from daycare. He loved music and dancing - he would start bopping up and down when he heard music playing. He loved socializing with people and brought his sunshine to all he interacted with. He loved everyone endlessly and let them feel his warmth through many hugs and kisses, and his incomparable beaming smile.
Adrian’s parents will miss him every day for the rest of their lives, and will forever honor the memory of the little boy who made them - and everyone he met - so unboundedly happy.
