Russell, Carl R., at age 86, of Arlington, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2023.
He was the devoted husband for 62 years to Maria E. (Peterson) Russell of Melrose. Loving father of Scott A. Russell and his wife Barbara A. (Driscoll) Russell of Medford and Jeffrey D. Russell of Arlington. He is survived by his cherished grandchildren David J. and Andrew S. Russell.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts the son of the late James R. and Doris E. (Phelps) Russell, Carl was raised in Watertown, and graduated from Northeastern University and successfully served the supermarket industry for over 50 years in store management, purchasing, warehousing and transportation.
Carl was a U.S. Army 1st Lieutenant who served his country proudly in Vietnam.
At his request cremation and interment of his ash’s at Cambridge Cemetery will be private.
