Angela Gonzalez passed away on January 15, 2023, at the age of 93, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s (2013). Angela was born on December 1st, 1929, in Jayuya, Puerto Rico to the late Claudina Gonzalez-Dominques.

Angela is survived by her brothers Serbatien Reyes, Amado Reyes, Armando Reyes (Fin), sisters Maria Isa Reyes, and Anna Maria (Nitin). She is predeceased by brothers, Angel Reyes (Lito), and sisters Selvilla Reyes, Miquelina Reyes Gonzalez and Carmen Reyes.

Angela was a loving mother to twelve children. She is survived by Luis D. Ramos, Fernando Ramos (Fana), Benigno Ramos, Heriberto Ramos, and daughters Lydia Ramos, Carmen Ramos (Miguel), Isabel Gonzalez, Maria Ramos, and Reyita Ramos. She will be reunited with her departed loved sons Marco Ramos, Orlando Ramos, and daughter Norma Rodriguez.

Angela came to the United States with her children and resided in Easton, PA, Germantown, Philadelphia, before moving to Cambridge, MA, where she resided until transitioning to Courtyard Nursing Care in Medford, MA. While at Courtyard Nursing Care, she was loved by a wonderful, caring, and compassionate team of employees. She received care from Convenient Hospice Services, and the family will be eternally grateful for the precious care our beloved mother received.

Angela was an amazing mother, dearest grandmother, and great-grandmother to her loving grandchildren. A powerful woman of God, who instilled the love of family, prayer, and faith. She will be remembered for cooking and giving her children & grandchildren her favorite Bustelo coffee with warm milk and crackers. She was a hospitable woman that loved to celebrate her family.  Our beloved mother will also be remembered for giving strong bear hugs, lots of kisses, and giving everyone the most cherished blessing as she would say “Que Dios te bendiga” (God bless you).

Her strength came from the Lord. Angela learned to read later in life and was taught to read only one book “The Holy Bible." She served in her church and was a member of the Women’s Ministry and the Association of Damas A.I.C of New England. She was a powerful prayer warrior, and her favorite scripture, Psalm 91, will remain in the lives of all who loved and adored her. Angela devoted and instilled in her family to seek God first, pray without ceasing, and leave everything in God's hands. 1 Thessalonians 5:17:  (1 Tesalonicenses 5:17 Orad sin cesar)

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023, at the Pentecostal Tabernacle Church, 77 Columbia Street in Cambridge from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a funeral service to follow.

Internment will be at the Cambridge Cemetery.

My beloved grandma. How much you will be missed by the entire family. I will always cherish your bear hugs and those immense kisses. I will miss your claps and the presences of joy when your apartment was filled with the love of family. I know you're in better place now. This is not a good-bye but see you later. I will always love you and thank you for giving me a mother who resembles so much like you. RIP
