James W. Carney, “Guncle Mimmy”, was born August 17, 1982. He spent his whole life as a Somer”villen” and would not have had it any other way.
When he was outdoors working, like the years he spent in the landscaping business, he always tried to leave his mark by adding beauty to the ground he touched. That is where he shined, and it gave him pride and brought him happiness. Though Jimmy leaves this world much to young, he no longer must fight the demons he tried so hard to conquer and he can feel at peace.
Jimmy leaves behind a loving mother, Marjorie, who will miss Jimmy’s natural ability to always lend a helping hand to someone who needed it. In addition to his mom, he leaves behind 5 sisters and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held for Jimmy on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge Street in Cambridge from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
