ROCHA, Antonio, 91, of Cambridge, March 31, 2022, passed away peacefully with his family by his side.
Beloved husband of 70 years to Maria de Deus (Correia) Rocha.
Immigrated from the Azores with his wife and children in February 1968 and was a Cambridge resident for 54 years.
Loving father of Jose Rocha and his wife Carol, Maria Helena Dutra and her late husband Carlos, Antonio Jr. and his wife Maria, Ana (Anita) Burke and her husband Frank, Eduardo, and his wife Lori. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer Dutra and her husband Jonathan, Joseph Rocha and his wife Erica, Mark Rocha and his wife Erin, Emily Burke, Nicholas, and Matthew Rocha. Adoring great-grandfather to Olivia Dutra, Megan and Sean Rocha, Dylan and Joseph Rocha and Grace Hallissey. Loving brother of Maria Dutra (predeceased), Jose Rocha, Filomena Vargas (predeceased), Helena Pinheiro, Manuel Rocha (predeceased), Henrique Rocha and Maria da Luz Duarte. Also survived by nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by his four-legged companion Emma.
Antonio was a retired employee of Boston University. His greatest passions were breeding canaries and finches, fishing, and gardening.
Visiting Hours at the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge Street, Cambridge on Monday, April 4, 2022, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
Funeral mass to follow at St. Anthony’s Church, 400 Cardinal Medeiros Avenue, in Cambridge at 11:00 am.
Interment will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
