Quirk, Terence “Terry” Age 77, of New Bedford, formerly of Somerville, passed away peacefully at his home in New Bedford on February 14, 2022.

Beloved husband of the late Loretta Quirk (Groves); Loving father of Dawn R. Quirk and her husband Christian Buerkle (of Warner, New Hampshire).  Devoted son of the late James Francis and Edith Quirk of Somerville.  Beloved brother of Martha (Quirk) Wilder and her husband, Charles (of Reading), and the late James, William, Michael, Daniel and Anthony Quirk. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his best friend John Crowell.

Terry is a U.S. Army Veteran, a longtime member and supporter of AA in Arlington and New Bedford.  He drove a Somerville cab for over forty years where he developed cherished, meaningful friendships that he considered part of his family.  He was always searching for ways to support others by giving them a ride, exchanging stories, or supporting their journey to recovery.
