Roderick, Arthur J., of Somerville, September 28, 2020 at age 91.   

Devoted husband for 69 years of Anna “Betty” E. Roderick (McDonald).  Loving father of Kenneth “Ken” Roderick and his significant other Rae Pearson, Elizabeth “Betsy” Kachoris and her husband Thomas, James “Jim” Roderick and his wife Diane, Patricia “Patti” DiFraia and her husband James.  Cherished grandfather of Carolyn, Jennifer, Thomas, Valerie, Linsey, Marybeth, Daniel, Molly, John and Julia.   Arthur was the adored great-grandfather of 13 great-grandchildren and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.   

Funeral from the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge Street in Cambridge on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 9:00 am.   Funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s Church, 400 Cardinal Medeiros Avenue in Cambridge at 10:00 am.  

Visiting hours at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.   

Mr. Roderick served proudly with the United States Army during the Korean War and was a former member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks No 2071 in Billerica.

Due to Covid – 19 and Massachusetts Tracing Guidelines, the funeral home is limited to 32 people inside the funeral home, social distancing must be observed, and a mask must always be worn.   

The funeral home & the family are asking those who plan to attend to please come in, pay your condolence’s and then exit to make it possible for others to do the same.   

Due to Covid - 19, Massachusetts Tracing Guidelines and the Guidelines of the Archdiocese of Boston, seating is limited to 95 people in the church.  

No one is permitted to enter the church until the funeral procession arrives.
