Mrs. Antonietta Ferrante

FERRANTE, Antonietta (Cornelio) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on September 6, 2018. She was the beloved wife of Domenico Ferrante and the loving mother of Santino Ferrante and his wife Marybeth of Cambridge,  Lea Ferrante and her husband Ian Orr of Concord and Linda Francis and her  husband David Nash of Essex. She was the proud grandmother of Christopher and his wife Katherine, Matthew, Alexander, Elizabeth, Alexandra and Gerard.  Antonietta was the youngest daughter of Rocco and Anna Cornelio. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Giovanni and Alfonso, and her two sisters, Livia and Graziella.  Born in Scafa, Italy in 1933, Antonietta came to the United States in 1955 with her husband and two young children. After living in Portland, Maine for a year, she and her family moved to Cambridge.  Antonietta celebrated life with passion and a joyous spirit. She had an intense love for her family and reveled in the company of her many friends. She sang, she laughed and she made everyone around her  happy. We all loved her dearly and will miss her so.  Relatives and friends are invited to greet Antonietta’s family on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 2:00-6:00 pm at Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge Street, Cambridge.  Funeral services will be held at Saint Mary’s Church at 134 Norfolk Street in Cambridge on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 10:00 am. For directions or to send an online condolences visit www.rogersfuneralhome.net
