Miranda II, Robert M. “Bob”, of Medford, Feb. 12th, formerly of Somerville at age 55.  Devoted son of Rita L. (Correia) and the late Robert M. Miranda. Loving brother of Russell Miranda and his wife Connie. Beloved Godfather of Cassandra Miranda. Cherished uncle of Christopher Miranda. Also survived by his cousins Joyce, Jacqueline, Carolyn, David, Michael, Christopher and Judith as well as many loving friends around the world. Funeral from the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge St., Cambridge, Saturday at 8 am. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s Church in Cambridge at 9 am. Visiting hours Friday 4 to 8 pm. Bob was a US Marine Corp Veteran who graduated at the top of his class as a percussionist at the Navy School of Music and was a member of the 2nd Marine Division Band (as was his father). He started playing the drums at age 4 ½ with the Liberty Club Band and then the Santo Christo Band of Cambridge. At age 8 he attended the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.  He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 41 in Cambridge, was an Eagle Scout, Ad Altare Dei recipient and a member of the Order of the Arrow. In recent years Bob worked with talented musicians and their bands, like Mark Greel, Perry Rossi, The Infractions, Magic, Amy Rome and Jorge Ferreira.
