Donald P. Williams, also known as Uncle D, Ban, the Honorary Vice Mayor of Central Square, and probably his proudest title, Papa D., was born on 1/13/1953 in Cambridge Massachusetts to Frederick and Dorothy Williams.
He passed away on January 24, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 73.
He was one of twelve children. A “Coast” boy through and through. He knew everyone and everyone knew him. Donald worked many jobs, such as a limo driver, flower delivery for Central Square Florist, and in his later years, he studied to become a carpenter and started his own business. He was also a proud supporter of many city officials and helped on many campaigns.
Donald is the father to eight children: Jennifer Reposa, Danielle Williams, Dawn Williams, Ashley Keating, Kayla Keating, Sawyer Keating, the late Lisa Reposa, and the late Donald Keating Jr. He was the proud and loving grandfather to Brittany Garcia, Caitlyn Morris, Tyler Morris, Kevin Reddick Jr., Alyciara Reddick, Z Williams, and Zuri Stanley. He also leaves behind his wife Kathleen Keating. Donald is survived by seven of his siblings, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and many many friends.
Everyone who had the pleasure of meeting Donald called him a friend. He was a friendly, giving, knowledgeable, funny, and life-loving person. Donald was the life of the party, and you could always find him on the dance floor. Donald’s family was his pride and joy. He is a true legend who left a mark on the world and in many hearts. He will be deeply missed.
