Larry Stone Larry Stone, a longtime resident of VINFEN passed away on November 24, 2023, at the age of 62 in his group home in Boston.

Born the son of the late Eleanor (Tuttle) and Frederick Stone, Larry was one of eleven children.  Larry was diagnosed with Down Syndrome at an early age and lived in a group home supported by VINFEN since the early 80’s.

Larry lived a life dedicated to kindness and care, touching the lives of many with his unwavering love and empathy. Whether it was through his comforting words, warm embrace, or selfless actions, Larry made everyone feel valued and appreciated in his own way.

Larry had a remarkable ability to brighten the darkest of days with his infectious laughter and genuine concern for others.

His favorite thing was to go out to restaurants where he would truly enjoy pizza, pasta, or hamburgers.  Christmas was always his favorite time of the year, and because of his love for music. Larry always got a new radio for Christmas.

Larry was called the “Boss of the House” and no one could take that title away from him.

Larry will be dearly missed by his family members and friends, who were profoundly touched by his presence. In his absence, he leaves behind a legacy of love, reminding us of all to embrace each day with kindness and compassion.

There will be a visitation for Larry at the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge Street in Cambridge on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm with a prayer service to follow in the funeral home. The repass will take place right after at the Arborway residence 380 Arborway, Jamaica Plain, MA  02130.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating in Larry’s memory to VINFEN Corporation, 950 Cambridge St, Cambridge, MA 02141 to help them carry on their many years of caring for others in our communities.

Though Larry’s physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
