Laura Wright (Mendonca) December 1, 2021, at age 60, of Maynard, MA, formally of Somerville after a long and courageous battle with Parkinsons Disease.

Devoted wife to the late Gregory Paul Wright Sr., of Maynard. Loving Mother of Adeline Farrar and her husband Ben of Shirley, Laura Johnson and her husband Steven of Medford, Mathew Bairos and his wife Jacqueline of Franklin, Gregory Wright and his fiancé Madison Phillips of Maynard, Kristy Kanode and her husband Sean of Dracut, Heather De La Cruz and her husband Carlo of Leominster. Bonus Mom to Erich Lamb and his wife Ashley of Ware. Cherished Grandmother of Aaron, Kayla, William, Colin, Travis, Austin, Marcus, Hunter, Westen, Brysen, Easten, Joceline and Emma. Beloved Sister of Dolores Santoyanni and her husband Anthony of Natick, Manuel Mendonca and his wife Kathleen of Salem, NH, Larry Mendonca and his wife MaryAnn of Malden, Adeline Meagher and her late husband Paul of Sudbury, Adam Mendonca and his wife Candida of Everett and the late John Mendonca. Also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as many other loving family and friends.

Laura was a very caring and giving soul and touched the lives of everyone she met in one way or another. She had a special way of naturally making others feel special and was always there to lend a helping hand. Some of Laura’s favorite things to do were reading to her many grandchildren, taking trips to the beach, camping, watching a Patriots or Bruins game with her husband or simply sitting at the dining room table and beating her children and grandchildren at Yahtzee. She also would never pass up the chance for a good game of cribbage with her husband. Holidays with her family was something she always looked forward to. A nice glass of blackberry brandy in hand never hurt either. If you were ever lucky enough to be in a car with Laura, you would get home with a sore arm as punch buggy was her thing!

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the APDA Massachusetts American Parkinson Disease Association.  www.apdaparkinson.org
