Antonio Lopes DePina, of Cambridge, passed away on November 1, 2021, at the age of 82.

He was a devoted son of the late Ana Brito (Pontes) and Joao DePina.

Antonio in his younger years was very athletic and enjoyed swimming.  He frequently attended musicals with his brother and cousins.

After many years working for a taxi company, Antonio decided to purchase his own taxi medallion and offered luxury transportation to his customers.

Antonio was well liked among the Cambridge community; he had many friends who admired him for being such a loving son and kind person.

Antonio was a loving father of Maureen Sanchez, Carolina Rufino Monteiro Teixeira and Antonio Pedro DePina and a beloved brother of Francisca Martins and Vera Monteiro. Antonio is survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.

Visiting hours at the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge Street in Cambridge on Thursday, November 4, 2021, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Funeral from the Rogers Funeral Home, in Cambridge on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 8:00 am.

Funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s Church, 400 Cardinal Medeiros Avenue in Cambridge at 9:00 am.

Interment will follow at the Cambridge Cemetery.
