Santos, Gilda (dos Santos) passed away peacefully in her home in Somerville, June 8, 2021 at age 91. She was born and raised in Portugal on February 24th, 1930.
Gilda was the devoted wife of the late Fernando dos Santos, loving mother of Maria de Lurdes Melo and her husband John, Carmella Turner and her husband Jeames, cherished grandmother of Stephen Melo, Eric Melo and his wife Tara, Brian Melo and his wife Vicky, Adam Borges and his wife Carmen, Melissa Abel and her husband Bobby, Linda Spence and her husband Tim, Amy Johnson and her husband Michael, adored great-grandmother of Carlos, Dominic, Christina, Nathan, Rebecca, Khloe, Anthony, Eliana, Mackenzie, Calista, Michael, Trey, Fernando and Montgomery, beloved great-great grandmother of Tros and the sister of the late Jose dos Santos, Manuel dos Santos, Urania Sousa, Lurdes Soaraes and Olivia dos Santos. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s Church, 400 Cardinal Medeiros in Cambridge at 9:00 am.
Visitation at the Funeral Home in Cambridge on Sunday, June 13, 2021, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.
Entombment will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery with her beloved Fernando.
Gilda was known for her beautiful seamstress work, amazing cooking, and the love for her family and friends.
