Tammy Marie Thibault, loving wife and mother, passed away at age 53 on Wednesday February 3rd, 2021.

Tammy was born on May 8, 1967 in Westfield, Ma.  She graduated high school from Northfield Mount Hermon and then enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Program at Wheelock College in Boston.  After her first year she craved the hands-on experience that is her trademark.  She created a two-week work study in the Department of Social services in London England.   That two-week work study turned into a year at Peregrines where her gifts working with children with significant life challenges were greatly appreciated by the staff.

After returning to the U.S.  she worked for Parents in a Pinch and then for herself.

In 2001, she married Robert Skenderian on the island of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands.  She was the exceptionally proud mother of Ethan and Dylan.  Two complete young men that inherited their mother’s skills.

Tammy’s love of and commitment to children, education and volunteerism offered her the opportunity to enrich the lives of many children. She first volunteered at the Haggerty School Library in Cambridge, MA and then at the Belmont Day School Library.  Most recently, Tammy helped to create new libraries at both the Dever Elementary and McCormack Middle schools in Boston, MA.

Tammy’s most enjoyable times were spent with her children, her immediate and extended family and reading a book on a beach.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Robert G Thibault, of Becket, MA. She is survived by her husband, Robert Skenderian, her two children, Ethan and Dylan, her mother, Mary Ellen Tiffany, her step-mother, Billie Thibault, her brothers Robert, MacLean and Thomas, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Tammy was kind, generous and loved; she will be terribly missed by all who knew her.

In memory of Tammy, please recycle (everything can be repurposed), read a book to a child, or volunteer in your community.  Leave the world a better place than when you entered it.

A memorial service will be held, no information is available at this time.
