John Calvin Mendes, of Boston, February 13, 2021 at age 80.
Devoted father of John David De-Andre “JD” Mendes, Abdul Wali Shaheed and his wife Rahima, Thelma Simonis and her husband Martial. Loving former husband of Paulette Smith Jarvis. Beloved brother of Philip L. Mendes. Adored first cousin of Ophelia Carter, Sallie Mae Jones and Natalie Carter. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and many other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation at the Rogers Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
Due to Covid-19 and Massachusetts Tracing Guidelines, the funeral home is limited to 20 people inside the funeral home. A mask must be worn, over both the nose and mouth, at all times, and social distancing guidelines must be observed.
The funeral home and the family are asking those who plan to attend to please come in, pay your condolences and then exit to make it possible for others to do the same.
All other service’s will be private due to Covid-19.
