Devoted husband of 49 years of Teresa (Costa) Sousa. Loving father of Debbi Martins and her husband Michael, Matthew Sousa and his wife Stefanie. Cherished Grandfather of Cameron Martins, Collin Martins. Mason Sousa and Ryan Sousa. Beloved brother of Celeste Leal, Joe Sousa, Walter Sousa and Zique Sousa. Son of the late Jose and Maria V. de Sousa. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and many other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation at the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge Street in Cambridge on Monday, November 23, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
Due to COVID-19 and Massachusetts Tracing Guidelines, the funeral home is limited to 32 people inside the funeral home and a mask must be worn at all times, over both nose and mouth.
The funeral home and the family are asking those who plan to attend to please come in, maintain social distancing guidelines, pay your condolences and then exit to make it possible for others to do the same.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the St. Anthony’s Church, 400 Cardinal Medeiros Avenue, in Cambridge at 9:00 am. Those wishing to travel in procession may arrive at the funeral home at 8:00 am
Due to Covid - 19, Massachusetts Tracing Guidelines and the Guidelines of the Archdiocese of Boston, seating is limited to 95 people in the church.
Social distancing must be observed, and a mask must be worn at all times.
No one is permitted to enter the church until the funeral procession arrives.
Manny was born on the island of Santa Maria, Acores and immigrated to the United States in 1968. He was a hard worker and built his life in Cambridge. He loved the city and you would often see him out on his many daily walks on Cambridge Street. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid cruiser always talking about the next biggest ship.He will be missed by many.
