JEAN SAUVEUR PRINCE VAL (known to most as Papi Sauveur/Pepsi) was born on May 25, 1928 in Croix-Des-Bouquet, Haiti. Beloved of Marie Philemond and Mericie Aubin. Dear father to Jesumene Prince, Christine Val, Jocelyne Val, Emilia Prince, Severe Prince, Sonia Prince, Pierre Roody Val, Natacha Val-Francois, James Val, Johanne Val-Montina, Nahomie Val Johnson, Jeffrey Val, Ashley Cahoe, and Vallery A. Val, and survived by numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren who loved him dearly. Papi Sauveur was a generous, kind, loving man, who was filled with so much wisdom and love. His love for his family is cherished by many. We will all live by his kind heart and do our best to not take love for granted.
In the words of Papi Sauveur: “Mwen la Toujou Mwen Poko ale,” “L’Homme Pa Dieu,” “Pa pran, pa bay,” “Jezi devan,” “yon pye andedan, yon pye deyò” along with many other wisdom phrases. Papi Sauveur, your words will always remain humbly in our hearts and souls. We love you and will truly miss you.
There will be a visitation at the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge Street in Cambridge on Monday, July 27, 2020 from 9:00 to 10:30 am, with a funeral service to follow in the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Cambridge Cemetery, 76 Coolidge Avenue, in Cambridge.
Due to Covid – 19 and Massachusetts Tracing Guidelines, the funeral home is limited to 40 people inside the funeral home and a mask must be worn at all times. The funeral home & the family are asking those who plan to attend to please come in, pay your condolence’s and then exit to make it possible for others to do the same.
