David Henley Joseph of Cambridge, MA was called home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2020.

David, born August 26, 1979 to the late Wilnes Joseph and Theresa Joseph, was the youngest of eight children.

David graduated from Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School and earned a bachelor's degree in Marketing from Long Island University in New York. As a teenager, He developed a passion for making music and an interest in the entertainment industry. His curiosity and love for sound transformed into a successful music career as an independent artist— gaining notoriety from various music media outlets, including Vibe magazine.

David was charismatic — loved basketball, family, and his heritage. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. His steadfast determination to courageously pursue his dreams was an inspiration to all who knew him. Most importantly, David loved the Lord.

He is preceded in death by his father Wilnes and his nephew Jonathan.

He is survived by his mother Theresa, and siblings: Max, Mimose, Michelle, Ramona, Pierre and wife Chris, Jacques and wife Johanne, and Michael and wife Cecilia. He is also survived by his 13 nieces and nephews: Samantha, Apelila, Gertrude, Melissa, Amarah, Christopher, Minkriff and wife Phoebie, Pierre, Noah, Julius, Moses, Wilnes, and Andreas.

“Closer to my dreams — defying the odds

So, I know when I’m down to nothing,

God’s up to something — I’m a survivor

This for my people that dare to dream”

 — D-AVE

 He will be deeply missed.
