SANTOS, Antonio Dos, of Woburn, passed away on April 28, 2020 at 78 years old. He was born in Vila Franca do Campo in the Island of Sao Miguel. He joined the Portuguese Army in 1963 and then started a job as a shoemaker. He came to America in 1967 where he joined his wife to start a new life. He began working at Tufts University as a custodian, which led him to start his own successful cleaning Company, First Class Cleaning.  He was the happiest surrounded by family and friends. He would often be found playing a game of cards, soccer, watching his favorite soccer team Sporting, or tending to his garden.

Antonio was the son of the late Manuel Santos Camelo and Maria Isabel (Parece) Camelo. He was the beloved husband of 52 years to the late Maria Santos. Loving father of Lisa Lee, Michelle Goes, Carol DaSilva and her husband Walter, David Santos and his wife Dorothy, Susan Gray and her husband Bruce, and Paul Santos and his wife Kelly. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Kathleen, Melissa, Daniel, Ashley, Devin, Isabel, Alexander, Sabrina, Braylon, Connor, Aaron, Haley, Logan and Paisley, whom he cherished greatly. As well as a great grandson Caius. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. As he would say “See you tomorrow morning”.

All Services Will Be Private.

Even though at this point and time it is nearly impossible to gather and mourn the loss of a loved one, it is still possible for families and friends to be supportive and compassionate. May we suggest you reach out by telephone, email, or perhaps mailing them a card or leaving your words of sympathy on the funeral home website?

My dearest and favorite uncle, your passing came as a shock to me, especially when I also just learned my auntie (your loving wife) passed away in June. There are no words to describe my pain at this moment. We had many disagreements (its what I do, I argue) but my love for you NEVER wavered. I loved you more than life itself.
Uncle darling, I foolishly believed you would live forever, instead I lost you forever.

Dear Lisa,
Roberto and I had the great pleasure to get to know your dad during the past summer and fall. We found him every Sunday in the cemetery sitting in a chair talking to your dear mom. It was evident that we were witnessing something magical. That despite not being on this earth true love does not cease to exist with the departure, but it continues in our hearts. When he saw us, he'd come over to talk to us and ask us to take care of you, Lisa. He also gave us advice like not to ever fight and to deeply love each other. I think every Sunday we knew we'd have a new life lesson from your father.
Now we can't imagine not seeing him but, every time we see that empty chair at the commentary, we’ll remember his beautiful smile, kindness and his eyes full of tears. May God give him eternal rest next to the love of his life and, you and your family the strength to bear the great pain.
Roberto and Maria

Too all the siblings, children and many friends that knew Antonio please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Death is harder on the living than the deceased and I know that Antonio is back with his wife and many others that departed before him. His spirit will always be around all that he loved! I bet he and Maria are cooking their favorite soup and passing it spiritually to all that they loved and cared about!
Love and peace to you all.
