It is with great sadness that the family of Marie Stephanie Edma announces her passing after a brief illness, on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at the age of 64 years.
Marie will be lovingly remembered as a devoted mother to her children and their spouses Jean Gerald Surpris (Tyrelle Hill Surpris), Jean Felix Surpris, jr. (Johane Metellus-Surpris), Angie S. Surpris-Pierre (Bradley Pierre), Louis E.J. Bazile, Alley Pierre (Cara Kesel-Pierre), Rudy Pierre (Sanda M. Pierre) and, Widson Pierre (Marielaine Sylvaince).
Marie will also be remembered fondly as a cherished grandmother to Rodney Hill, Jasmine Hill-Sylvain, Michaela Hill, Trae M. Hill, Jenelle Hill-Surpris, Jeniah Hill-Surpris, Angelie L. Pierre, Brodey M. Pierre, Emma G. Surpris, Elise F. Surpris, Matthew Abowch, Celeste Pierre, Kimora C. Pierre, Crystal J. Pierre, Kairo B. Pierre and, Jeriah A. Pierre.
Also a beloved sister to Joseph Hercule, Emile Hercule (Marie-Jose Guerin Hercule), Gerard Pierre (Hancy Balan Pierre), Jean R. Pierre (Mireille Andris Pierre), Marie Odney and, the late Jacques Pierre. Marie will also be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Funeral services in memory of Marie Stephanie Edma will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at St. John’s Evangelist Church. A Christian burial will be at the Cambridge Cemetery. In addition, a viewing will be held for family and friends on September 27, 2019 from 5:00-9:00pm at St. John’s Evangelist Church.
